About the project
Kern Curated is an independent platform for contemporary art.
We present photography, mixed media and visual expressions that move between reality and dream.
The selection is curated with a focus on mood, narrative and visual precision.
Each work is presented with respect for both artist and viewer.
Kern Curated functions as a presentation space and sales platform – but primarily as a space for communication.
Featured artists
Atle Stretere works in the tension between classical figurative tradition and contemporary visual intensity. Using long exposures and complex layered compositions, he builds works where the dramatic light of the Baroque meets modern fragmentation and psychological rawness. The result is images that are both timeless and immediately relevant.
Based in the artist town of Stavern, Jan Olav Forberg works in the space between monumental spaces and urban visual culture. Through spray, stencils, screen printing and traditional painting, he integrates elements of graffiti art into layered compositions with a clear materiality and depth.
